Today, we shine a spotlight on a relatively new physical therapy practice in Santa Clarita Valley, CA. Since opening and incorporating the NEUBIE as a main focus of patient care, Focus Physical Therapy‘s owner, Adam Laraway, has been awarded the best Physical Therapist in the city. In this interview, Adam discusses his excitement for the NEUBIE and how it has propelled his practice in just two short years.

Tell us about yourself, Adam.
My name is Adam Laraway, and I’m the Owner, CEO, PT of Focus Physical Therapy. I’ve been practicing for 20+ years in outpatient orthopedics, and launched my own private practice in 2019. Since operating as an owner, I was just awarded Ultimate Physical Therapist by a local publication for Santa Clarita Valley. Inside the clinic, I’m a manual based therapist who now incorporates the NEUBIE and health coaching into my practice philosophy.
Tell us about your practice.
Focus Physical Therapy opened in July 2019 as a start up Physical Therapy practice offering one-on-one care focusing on each patient’s recovery. We offer cutting-edge treatment and have incorporated a lot of the similar approaches that Competitive Edge Performance (Jason Waz’s private practice) uses.
How did you first hear about the NEUBIE?
Like most new PT owners looking to find an edge for their practice, I was directed to NeuPTtech by Brian Gallagher of MEG Business Management.
What convinced you to add it to your practice?
After talking with Jason Waz, founder of NeuPTtech, learning more about how quickly it gets results and then coming to Florida to see it in action at Jason’s practice, I knew it could make a big difference for our clinic.
What were your initial expectations with the device?
Right away, I had to change my entire philosophy from working on orthopedic conditions to treating the neurological system directly. The NEUBIE quickly helped integrate already successful principles and achieve quicker results for my patients.
What is your experience working with Jason Waz and his team at NeuPTtech?
Amazing! Jason has been so gracious with his time, and I love talking with him and getting ideas on the next best thing to add to our practice. He is a wealth of information when it comes to physical therapy technology and differentiating your practice from the competition. As a result, I have modeled my clinic after his, including adding Heart Rate Variability (HRV) devices and Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field (PEMF) therapy to our list of treatments.
What results did you experience with the NEUBIE?
We have had a lot of recognition out of the gate with patient success. And these are often difficult or complex cases that have not had success elsewhere. We’ve also used the NEUBIE to help a lot of athletes get back on the field quicker than expected. It has undoubtedly been a differentiator for our clinic.
What has been the most surprising element of using the NEUBIE so far?
I’d have to say the most surprising element or result from the NEUBIE has been the improvement with the Master Reset on people’s overall health. This has often led to healing alignments we weren’t even treating!
How have your patients reacted to using the NEUBIE?
My patients love it and we get lots of requests. They don’t want to leave because they know it’s working to help them recover or grow stronger!
What is your message to PTs who are on the fence with the NEUBIE?
Why stay on the fence? The NEUBIE is worth the investment and will be a game changer for your practice. That’s certainly been my experience.
